Se cumplen los 300 años de la llegada de la imagen de la Virgen y con tal motivo el Obispo de Almería, Monseñor Adolfo González Montes, cursó a la Santa Sede en solicitud dirigida a la Penitenciaría Apostólica la concesión de un Año Jubilar. La Penitenciaría del Papa ha comunicado al Obispo almeriense la concesión de este Jubileo extraordinario, que comenzará el próximo 8 de septiembre del año en curso y tendrá duración hasta el 8 de septiembre de 2017, fechas de apertura y clausura respectivamente de este Jubileo.
It has been 300 years since the arrival of the image of the Virgin and for this reason the Bishop of Almería, Monseñor Adolfo González Montes, sent the Holy See a request directed to the Apostolic Penitentiary for the concession of a Jubilee Year. The Penitentiary has informed the Bishop of Almería of the concession of this extraordinary Jubilee, that commences on the 8th September of this year and lasts until the 8th September 2017, dates of opening and closing of this Jubilee.
