Con el objetivo de promocionar el Municipio, y aprovechando la celebración desde el 8 de Septiembre de 2016 hasta el 8 de Septiembre de 2017, del AÑO JUBILAR por el III centenario de la llegada de Ntra. Señora del buen Retiro de los Desamparados del Saliente, “La Pequeñica”, se está llevando a cabo la realización de diversas actividades, dirigidas a todo tipo de asociaciones, organizaciones o particulares, con el objetivo principal de acercar nuestro municipio con sus costumbres y tradiciones, y los lugares más emblemáticos del mismo, al visitante que quiera conocerlo. 

With the objective of promoting the Town on the occasion of the celebration, from 8th September 2016 until 8th September 2017, of the JUBILEE YEAR for the III Centenary of the arrival of Our Lady of Refuge for the Forsaken of Saliente, “The Little One”, various activities are being organised, aimed at all types of associations, organisations or individuals with the main aim of bringing our town with it customs and traditions, and its most emblematic locations, closer to the visitor who would like to know more about it.

RUTAS GUIADAS / GUIDED TOURS

Ruta Casco Urbano y Alfarería Los Puntas / Town and Los Puntas Pottery

En esta visita guiada veremos todo el casco antiguo del municipio, incluyendo la Parroquia de Santa María, la estatua al “Arriero” y su historia, la ermita de San Antonio, sus casas señoriales de más de 300 años de antigüedad, y conoceremos la historia más antigua del pueblo además de muchas  peculiaridades, para los más curiosos, desde como apareció el municipio, hasta como se construyeron sus casas con los restos del Castillo Morisco de Albox. 

On this guided tour we will see the old town of Albox, including the Parrish of Santa María, the statue of the 'Drover' and its history, the chapel of San Antonio, its town houses with more than 300 years of antiquity, and we will get to know the oldest history of the town as well as many of its peculiarities, for the most inquiring mind, from how the town came into being to how its houses were built from the rubble of the Moorish Castle of Albox.

Nos desplazaremos también al otro lado del pueblo, separado por la rambla, "La Loma", donde visitaremos la Iglesia de la Concepción, la ermita y mirador de la Santa Cruz, y la Alfarería Los Puntas, donde podremos ver una exhibición en vivo de como los artesanos realizan la cerámica de la forma más tradicional, y visitar sus hornos morunos de 300 años de antigüedad.

We will also go to the other side of the town, separated by the rambla, to 'La Loma', where we will visit the Church of la Concepción, the chapel and viewpoint of Santa Cruz and the Los Puntas Pottery, where we can see a live display of how the artisans make pottery in the most traditional way and visit 300 year old Moorish ovens.

Duración: 3 horas aproximadamente.  Duration: Approximately 3 hours.

Las visitas se reservarán con un mínimo de 2 días de antelación. Existe la posibilidad de realizarlas en Inglés, reservando con una semana de antelación. Visits can be reserved with a minimum of 2 days notice. Visits can be arranged in English with one weeks notice.

Ruta Santuario del Saliente / Sanctuary of Saliente Route

En esta visita veremos todas las instalaciones abiertas al público y algunas de entrada limitada del Santuario del Saliente, edificación declarada Patrimonio Histórico Español, data del S.XVIII, y alberga tres funciones Palacio Episcopal, Ermita y Hospedería.

On this tour we will see all the areas open to the public and some limited areas of the Sanctuary of Saliente, a Spanish National Heritage Building, dating from the 18th century and serving three functions as Episcopal Palace, Shrine and Hostelry.

  A partir del 8 de Septiembre del 2016 y hasta el 8 de Septiembre de 2017 se ha declarado Año Jubilar por la celebración de los 300 años de la llegada de la Virgen del Saliente a Albox, Patrona del municipio. En la visita conoceréis las historias que envuelven la aparición y las peculiaridades de La Virgen del Saliente "La Pequeñica".

8th September 2016 to 8th September 2017 has been declared a Jubilee Year to celebrate 300 years since the arrival of the Virgin of Saliente to Albox, the Patron Saint of the town. During this visit we will get to know the history surrounding the apparition and the cultural particulars of the Virgin of Saliente "The Little One".

La Ruta del Santuario del Saliente no se puede realizar el día 8 de Septiembre, día de la Virgen y fiesta local en Albox, debido a la cantidad de devotos y visitantes que acuden al Santuario ese día.

The Sanctuary of Saliente tour cannot be offered on the 8th of September, saint day of the Virgin and a local holiday in Albox, given the number of devotees and visitors who attend the Sanctuary on this day.

Duración: 1 hora aproximadamente. Duration: Approximately 1 hour.
